Free training and CPD Points for Strata Managers
Wattblock are currently offering free training sessions to strata managers. This has allowed participating strata management companies savings on their training costs and helped their staff keep up with required annual CPD points.
Online Wattblock training courses are available at eclassroom.com.au starting from $59.95. While there are a number of topics on offer, Wattblock’s “Retrofitting Multi-tenant dwellings for energy efficiency” has been particularly popular online amongst town planners and architects.
Following release of a research paper on Electric Vehicle recharge by research partners Wattblock and Griffith University, Sydney City Council invited Wattblock to present on the topic. This led to a deeper study on Electric Vehicle Recharge in Strata, thanks to funding from City of Sydney Council, and other project partners including Griffith University and Energex.
Wattblock was part of the initial consultation phase for NABERS for Apartments, run by NSW Office of Environment & Heritage, who are developing the national standard.
Wattblock has since participated in further briefings on NABERS for apartments with SCA (NSW) and SCA (National). Wattblock has also supplied data to the NABERS team to assist them in developing the new NABERS for apartments standard.
