Sydney Apartment Blocks which have retrofitted batteries

Do apartment blocks in Sydney retrofit batteries when installing solar systems? The answer is yes....
1) Sydney University Student Housing
"Stucco" is a housing co-operative which was the first multi-tenant residential building in Australia to install batteries in 2015. They received a $100k grant from the City of Sydney and installed 43kWh of batteries from Enphase. The solar installer was Solarray.

2) Watson Towers in Neutral Bay
Watson Towers installed a 30kW solar system and a 10kWh Sungrow battery in January 2022. The solar installer which they used was RK Solar. Watson Towers was a participant in the North Sydney Futureproofing Apartments program. Wattblock provided them advice on solar-powered EV charging and heat pumps.

3) Ambervale - 6-8 Northwood Ave Camperdown
Ambervale was a participant in the Inner West Go Solar for strata program run by Inner West council. They installed a 39.9kWh solar system and 2 x 13.3kWh batteries from BYD in 2022. The solar installer which they used was Atlas Renewables. Wattblock provided a solar feasibility study and ran a solar tender.

4) Aria - 6B Grandstand Pde Zetland
​Aria installed 2 x Tesla Powerwalls in conjunction with installation of a 2nd solar system in 2022. The solar installer which they used was Onepower. Wattblock provided them with advice on electric vehicle charging and heat pumps.

5) Galleria - 27 Palmer St Woolloomooloo
Galleria installed 2 x 13.3kWh Alpha ESS batteries in conjunction with a 22kW solar system in 2022. They were the first strata building to retrofit batteries in the City of Sydney LGA. The solar installer which they used was Atlas Renewables. Galleria was a participant in the City of Sydney Ratings and Assessment grant program. Wattblock provided the report under the ratings and assessment grant program, assisted the building to get a subsidised Wattwatchers device under the My Energy Marketplace program, conducted the first NABERS for Apartment Buildings rating for the building, did a solar feasibility study for the building, conducted a solar tender for the building and provided an EV Charging feasibility study.

6) Somerset Mews - 2 Rosebery Place, Balmain
Somerset Mews was a participant in the Inner West Go Solar for Strata program. They installed 26.6kW of battery in conjunction with a 39kW solar system. The battery was from Sunpower. The solar installer was RK Solar. Wattblock assisted with the solar/battery feasibility study and ran a solar tender to assist this building.
